WESTERN KENTUCKY RAPTOR CENTER
Project Eagle
New project
We are so excited to share that we are in the preparation process for expanding our mission to allow the rehabilitation of eagles at Western Kentucky Raptor Center. To rehabilitate eagles, it requires a special permit above the federal raptor rehabilitation permit and applying for that permit requires us to build an enclosure meeting the special requirements needed to rehabilitate eagles. This Eagle Flight Enclosure is estimated to cost $10,199.00. We are optimistic that our goal can be achieved through the support of local businesses and organizations.
We are also in the process of upgrading our other raptor enclosures creating more safety for the animals and the volunteers that are in contact with them each day. As you can imagine, especially with the bigger birds of prey, these animals are very strong and powerful and the need for safety, for both human and animal, is always at the front of our minds.
We ask that you would consider making a financial contribution to these upcoming projects. We have multiple sponsorship opportunities to fit the budgets of businesses and organizations interested in supporting the enclosure projects.
If you are interested in supporting the project through sponsorship, please call 270-993-6022 or email nurturetonaturewildlife@gmail.com. Personal donations may be made here. More information about the WKRC quarterly newsletter will be available soon.
